Due to severe cuts in state funding and staff, the Friends of the Daniel Boone Homestead, a non-profit, volunteer-based community organization, will now be taking over the daily operations of the Daniel Boone Homestead. For the time being, operational hours of the Daniel Boone Homestead have been temporarily reduced. The Friends hope to increase hours as soon as possible and they truly appreciate your patience and support during this challenging time. Many special events will still be continuing throughout the year. Please visit the Calendar of Events page for more information. The Homestead and visitor center will be open for guided tours on Fridays and Saturdays between 10:00am and 4:00pm, Sundays between 12:00 and 4:00pm, and periodically during the week. The grounds of the homestead are open from 9am - 4:45pm Tuesday through Sunday.
